Patriot’s Choice
In 1777 the American Revolutionary War escalates. The British have captured New York City, and the Royal Navy is fighting to blockade colonial harbours. Like the colonies, the brothers—and sisters—struggle to find ways to survive in an everchanging and hostile world. Patti, inspired by Mrs. Anderson and driven by her need to protect her son, leads a group of mothers against redcoats in Charles Town. Mac, who was injured during the explosion of the Capitalist, is rescued by a Quaker family and learns how to farm in Virginia. Lori struggles to find a way home, though she rekindles a friendship that holds great promise for her future. Pierpont is arrested in Williamsburg and faces the gallows. Abby plans an escape or two. Cadogan gains fame as a boxer. Blacktip and Belmont continue their schemes to control the sugar markets while also supplying the Continental Army with weapons from France. All of their choices have consequences for themselves, their families, and for the countries they choose to serve. It is time for a new adventure to begin and time to choose sides in the War for Independence.
